Our program is dedicated to building skills on the court, fostering a love for basketball through expert coaching and engaging drills. Beyond the fundamentals, we prioritize character development, instilling values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience that extend far beyond the final buzzer. And at the heart of it all is community – a safe, inclusive space where young athletes connect, grow, and thrive together, creating lasting friendships and a shared passion for the sport.

Congratulations to the Burnaby South Jr Girls Basketball team for coming out on top winning the Junior Girls Basketball Provincials this past weekend. Congrats to our SBMC U16 girls who are Champions at this weekend’s Thanksgiving Shootout. • It was a great final game against Raincity Purple. They were up by 17 at one point and with 7 players in rotation gas was running out. They pushed through and pulled off a 47-45 win to take the Girls JV-1 division. Yes girls! Great start to the Fall 2025 season 😥💪☝️

Hey SBMC fam, The biggest game of the season is here — Vancouver Bandits playoff...

🎉 Congrats to the boys for taking home the championship in their division at the Summer Explosion! 💥 They battled hard in a thrilling final against Hustle Bball, edging out a 48–45 victory. Lucas K. led the way on both ends of the floor, pacing the team in scoring and locking in defensively. The team showed great resilience, especially after losing Enzo—who had to get stitches above his eye during Game 3. Despite the setback, they pulled through with heart and grit. The boys will now take a well-deserved break to recover from a depleted roster and will be back in action in a few weeks. Great job, Eagles! 🦅🔥

Big congratulations to the boys for winning the Silver Division at the Okanagan Heat Hoopfest! 🏆 They took down Genesis U13 Blue in the finals with a solid 56-36 win. After a tight first half, the Eagles pulled away, led by Max F., who scored 12 points in the second half. The team dominated the boards, out-rebounding their opponents 40-23! The boys are fired up and can’t wait to hit the court again!

Big congratulations to the boys for winning the Silver Division at the Okanagan Heat Hoopfest!...

What an awesome trip for the boys in Kelowna! They took home the division title in convincing fashion, beating a talented Squad team in the finals. A 13-point run in the second half helped them pull away for a solid 65–44 win, shooting an impressive 47% from three! JD earned MVP honors with 16 points, going 5/6 from beyond the arc and finishing with a +23 on the court. Albie, Navin, and Luka also had standout performances, and the rest of the boys brought relentless energy on defense. It was great to see the team and parents bonding throughout the trip—definitely a weekend to remember. We’ve got to run it back next summer! 🌞

Rising Star Camp is a 3-day basketball experience designed for young athletes ages 9 to 15 who are ready to take their game to the next level. This camp focuses on building strong foundational skills through detailed instruction in ball handling, passing, shooting, finishing, and overall fundamentals. Each day will feature a mix of individual skill development and team-based games to promote teamwork, confidence, and on-court IQ in a fun and supportive environment. Ivy is a former Capilano University and Simon Fraser University assistant coach with over 14 years of expertise in player development across various organizations and competitive levels. Throughout his career, he has coached high school teams, youth club teams, and university teams, working with athletes at different stages of their development.

Congratulations Sbmc u14 green for winning the Drive Summer Showcase! Lucas Kuo was in his bag on both sides of the court. Nothing going was in for us in the 1st half. He put his team on his back and willed them back from 20 down like a man possessed. Game 2. Boys collectively handled business in the trenches. First tournament win for the boys this spring !

Sbmc u13 green went 4-0 at the BC Spring Shootout capturing their first PT rings from facing off with a tough Venom team in the final. MVP honors went to Luka Vucinovic. He lead the team in scoring and rebounding while averaging a double double in the 4 games!
