SBMC Fall Basketball – Skills, Teamwork, and Growth

Fall into Basketball – Build Your Foundation
The Fall Basketball season at South Burnaby Metro Club is the perfect time for youth ages 5 to 18 to return to the court and refocus on the fundamentals of the game. Whether your child is just starting out or returning for another season, fall provides a structured environment dedicated to skill-building, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Fall sessions run from September to December and emphasize the basics—dribbling, passing, shooting mechanics, defensive positioning, and understanding team play. For younger players (ages 5–7), practices are fun and game-based to build coordination and confidence. Older players receive more advanced coaching in tactics, positioning, and leadership.
The season combines weekly practices with intra-club games to allow players to apply their skills in real-game settings. Parents are invited to be part of the experience, whether volunteering as coaches or cheering on the sidelines.
Fall is a season of growth and reconnection, setting the tone for a strong year ahead in basketball and beyond. Join us and watch your young athlete develop skills, confidence, and a love for the game that lasts a lifetime.
